Health screening is undertaken as per National Guidelines.
We like to see all our asthma patients at least once a year. If you are using inhalers please bring them with you when you attend your appointment.
All diabetic patients will be seen six monthly. Appointments with the nurse will be made for interim checks. Bloods must be checked 1 week prior to appointment.

Patients will be seen at least once a year. If necessary, interim checks will be made following advice from the GP/ nurse.
Child Immunisation Clinic
The health visitor runs a comprehensive infant and pre-school immunisation programme. Parents are automatically informed when their child is due for their next injection.
Child Health Surveillance Clinic
A routine developmental check is done on babies from 6 weeks old. These are carried out at the surgery by a doctor and / or health visitor.
The practice offers a full range of immunisations and advice on travelling abroad. Please make an appointment with the practice nurse at least 8 weeks, if possible, prior to travel.
We particularly recommended this for patients with heart, chest or kidney disease, asthma, diabetes and other chronic disease. It is also recommended for patients over 65 and for residents of nursing and rest homes. Please contact the reception staff in September for details of the dates of our flu vaccination clinics.
Immunisation is recommended for patients with heart, liver, chest, kidney disease, asthma, diabetes, spleenectomy and other chronic diseases. It is also recommended for patients over 65 years. This can be given along with the flu vaccination.
Cervical Smear Tests
The practice offers a comprehensive cervical smear screening service and all women in the above age groups will automatically receive an invitation. These tests are carried out by specifically trained nurses.
If a minor operation is needed this will be booked by the doctor and performed under local anaesthetic at the surgery.
